God's Promises
Have you ever made a promise and
didn’t keep it? Has someone ever made a promise to you and
broke it? I am confident to say that almost everyone could
answer yes to one of these questions if not both. No matter
how big our hearts are and how great of a role model we can be
the reality is people let each other down and most of the time
it is not intentional and a lot of the time it is to someone
we love.
God is the only one who is capable of being faithful to His promises every time. When we take a closer look at God’s promises it’s so amazing how many there are. What is even more beyond our understanding is how God never breaks His promises, not even one. He is faithful and true to His word and can be trusted especially when we put our trust in Him.
When we know God’s promises it can be very comforting and reassuring, especially during hard times or when we witness to someone. If you are not sure what God has promised you or need a refresher then join me as I write about His promises and how we can apply them to our lives.
How did you feel when you broke a promise to someone? How did it feel when someone broke a promise to you? We never have to feel these things when we rely on God’s promises because he never lets us down by breaking a promise. He loves us so much and this is just one way He shows how much we mean to Him. So next time you need direction, healing, comfort, or even forgiveness you can go to God through prayer and declare His promises.
“God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true.
He is a shield
for all who look to him for protection."
2 Samuel 22:30-32
