Christian
parenting is one of the biggest jobs we are given, but at the
same time can be one of the most rewarding. Raising children
is a full time job and is something that shouldn't be taken
lightly. No matter what age your children are at there are
always new challenges, exciting milestones, and decisions for
parents to make. There are stages you wonder if your child
will ever get past and wonder if youre going to get through
it, but then eventually it passes and you move on to a new
stage.
 There might be times that you wonder if you are the
only parent in the world going through certain issues, well
let me reassure you that there are many others going through
the same issues and feeling the same way. Then there are times
that you feel like you just cant love your child enough
because they are so wonderfully made, and each one is so
different in their own special way. You see God wont give us
more than we can handle, that is His promise to us. I always say I
dont know what I would do if I had two Hadens or two
Griffins, they are opposites in so many ways so having one of
each makes a good balance in our family.
Its very
normal to feel all these things and more, every once in a
while we need inspiration and tips on parenting issues.
Sometimes we are not looking for professional advice but
realistic practical advice from parents who have already gone
through issues we face. There are times for professional
advice for sure, what Im offering is inspiration and tips
from a parent's point of view. When you feel overwhelmed with either
joy or stress of being a parent the best place to receive
advice is from our heavenly Father, He knows you and your
children better than anyone else. Its comforting to know that
God will never steer us in the wrong direction when we humble
ourselves and ask with a trusting heart.
He leads the humble in doing right, teaching
them his way.
